Elisabeth Dunbar
MSN, ARNP, PMHNP
I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP). I graduated with my Master's of Nursing degree from Gonzaga University in 2010. I worked as a registered nurse for many years, prior to obtaining my Master's degree. I have eleven years of experience providing medication management and therapy to individuals ranging in age from kids to older adults. My focus is on the whole person, and my goal is to provide a holistic approach that can help people function at their best. I believe each individual I serve is the "expert" on who they are and my goal is to work as a partner in their care. I believe that, as humans, we all struggle in one way or another; however, we are not defined by our struggles, or by a diagnosis; we are first and foremost individuals . My style is relaxed and informal, and my approach is strength based. I believe it is an honor and a privilege to work as a mental health provider. I know that it takes a lot of courage to recognize when we are struggling, and to ask for help. My hope is for my clients to feel seen and heard in a space that feels safe, supportive, and empathetic. My office is accessible for individuals with limitations. A typical intake appointment lasts around an hour and a half, with follow-up appointments ranging from thirty to forty-five minutes. Office hours are typically 9:00 to 6:00, Appointments outside normal hours may be made on a case by case basis.
